Well, I couldn't leave you with the Boston Butt Teaser, so.....
Picture
I took a boned 5 pound Boston Butt, rubbed in a dry rub of 2 Tbs dark brown sugar, 2 Tbs salt, 2 Tbs black pepper (which I apparently forgot to add, but it still tasted faulous!), 2 Tbs paprika, 1/2 Tbs cayenne.

Make sure you use your hands, and really get in there and rub it on!

Cover tightly with plastic wrap and let sit in fridge for 2 hours. (Or one really good movie while knitting your daughters second slipper...)

Picture
After 2 hours are up, make the wet mix - 2 cups apple cider vinegar, 2 Tbs Worstershire, 1/2 Tbl finely chopped garlic

Mix well

Picture
Pour in wet mix, cover with aluminum foil, and lid, and bake in a 325 oven for 3 or 4 hours. (Or another movie, like Dead Poet Society, and part of Mad Max:Thunderdome) - be sure to baste...

Then when you can't stand how good it smells for a moment longer, send your husband to check and see if it's falling off the bone yet.

Picture
Yup... Totally falling off the bone! See the fresh bananas waiting to be forgotten so I can make more banana bread?

Anyways - remove from juice, and put on cutting board

Picture
Seriously yummy and falling apart - we had to fish this out of the juice! YUMMY! I really didn't need to add this picture, but the green teapot in the picture really makes me happy!

Picture
Have your husband take 2 forks and shred the butt - while you take 57 pictures. And then, just when his eye starts twitching a little, put the camera down and start eating bits while he is starving and still shredding (oh, wait... maybe don't do that... Kevin said it was kinda annoying)

Picture
Serve it with your favorite BBQ sauce... (Yes, that IS the formal picture from our cruise! Cute, right?)

Picture
This is Kevin eating his with plenty of Sticky Fingers.

Picture
This is Katie's on a bun with Sticky Fingers

Picture
I prefer mine with no bun - just strait up pulled pork and sauce - YUMMMMMM!

Picture
This is Token trying the pork...

Picture
Token was NOT happy that I teased him by telling him I was giving him pork, and then finding out I cooked it in vinegar and cayenne pepper... Nope, not happy at all. Token says "sleep with one eye open, lady... one eye open."

Thank you Paula Dean for the basis for this recipe - I have made some changes, but the idea was hers first. I love you Paula!
