Today was a fun day - we made Rootbeer Cake, and then went to game 7 of the Monarchs finals. We lost in sudden death overtime. Sad. But fun. The kids (all 5 of them) were able to go on to the ice to collect all the chuck-a-pucks during the second period break. They had a great time slipping and sliding all over!

This crazy group is my family *and the cousins!*! All 5 kids and my husband (and me, but I am on the other side of the camera).Yup - so proud to claim them as my own! lol!

Because of the overtime,we didn't get home until after 10pm! Which is all well and good, except I am starting my Bunny Buns for tomorrow morning tonight! What are Bunny Buns, you ask? Well, the are homemade orange rolls in the shape of little rabbits! And they have to rise for an hour, and then be formed, and then rise for another 30 minutes, and then cook for 15 BEFORE I go to bed! So that I don't have to get up at the crack of dawn to make them for Easter. So it is now 11:40, my dough is made and rising, and I am here, blogging y'all!

As I sit here, waiting for the dough to rise, I think about what all of this is for. I am amazed, daily, by our Father's love for us. He gave us His only son to save us. Jesus went willingly to the cross, knowing the suffering He would endure, all for us. I think about the goals I have in my life, and the things I need to change within myself, that I don't change because it seems too difficult, or because it may be uncomfortable. Then I think again about Jesus, and His suffereing so that I could have this life, so that I could have the choice to stay where I am at or to change. My problems all seem so insubstantial to conquer when compared to miracle of what God has given us.

In light of all of this, I think I am going to look at tomorrow, Easter, as New Years Eve. Christ is risen! and I am going to be grateful for this gift of new life and new beginnings in Him.

Have a blessed Easter Sunday!
