Happy Mother's Day! I hope you had a great one. My daughter gave me this. I love it. It is now on the wall in our dining area.

We had a wonderful day. Pastor Lisa spoke to us at church. Her message was just what I needed today. She always speaks into my heart. I need to be reminded that whe times are tight, hard, low, as long as I keep my eyes on the Lord, He will take me through the other side, Victoriously.

I long to be like the Proverbs 31 woman. I want her heart. I want her attitude of service and love. I pray that when my children grow older they look back and say they learned their love for the Lord by seeing the love I have for Him.

Did I mention that last week (for school vacation) Katie went on a missions trip to DC? She went with her youth group to work in a couple different food pantries and homeless shelters. While she was there, God was really able to use her, and He worked deeply in her. When she came back she asked if she could find a soup kitchen here to work in. Unfortunately, the day before, our local soup kitchen burned down and it will be a bit before they are ready to have new volunteers. She decded she would make boxes up, put flyers up and have a collection drive at her school for items like toothbrushes, toothpaste, deoderant, feminine products, etc, and then we will bring them to Reach Ministries to give out to the homeless population in the area. If you are interested in donating anything, please let me know, and we can make arrangements. I am very proud of her decision to step out in faith and believe in her peers to fill this need. Please stand in faith with me in knowing that these needs will be met.

Anyways.... Back to Mother's Day... We picked up these fabulous cupcakes at Sams on our way home from church, and then had my mom and dad over for a cookout. We had burgers and dogs. We sat on the deck. Then it rained. And we all came in. And then it stopped! lol. Kevin and I missed being able to share the day with his mom and dad as well. BUT... They are enjoying sunny weather in NC, adn we will be seeing them in a couple weeks for the All-Star race! (Go Denny!)

So, we're all eating these incrediblay fabulous cupcakes that we got at Sam's Club. And I notice the tag on them - ya, "but" r creme. Really? Does that sound like something good? Not really to me. Who came up with this? We all got a good laugh out of it. And I decided I needed to take a picture of it and share it with y'all. So there it is - my but-cream cake! lol!

And with that.... I wish all you Mothers a VERY special Mothers Day!

But-R Creme is much better than finding a label on anything edible that reads: Butt-R-[rear] Creme!

Happy Mother's Day, Marcy! Blessed are we who are mom's, step-moms and have wonderful children! (of all ages).

Hey Kathy - ya, I was still slightly put off by the sound of it - it was just a tad on the "not so cool" side. lol.

Happy Mother's Day to you, too!
